This Advance Care Planning month, join the Greater Toronto Area Chapter of Dying With Dignity Canada for a presentation by Dr. Blair Bigham, author of “Death Interrupted.” In his book, Dr. Bigham helps us understand our end-of-life options, exposes the tensions inherent in dying, and probes the tough questions we all need to think about. On April 19, Dr. Bigham will share his first-hand experiences of how medicine has complicated the way we die.

Dr. Blair Bigham

Dr. Blair Bigham is a journalist, scientist, and attending emergency and ICU physician who trained at McMaster and Stanford Universities. He was a Global Journalism Fellow at the Munk School of Global Affairs and an associate scientist at St. Michael’s Hospital. His work has appeared in The Walrus, the Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail, the New England Journal of Medicine, and the Canadian Medical Association Journal, among others.
