Manager, Volunteer Engagement
Sara is the Manager, Volunteer Engagement at Dying With Dignity Canada. In this role, Sara leads the national volunteer program, where hundreds of dedicated and generous volunteers educate the public, support their communities, and advocate for choice. She was drawn to this work when she supported two loved ones during the dying process, and realized the importance of individual autonomy and dignity at end of life. Since 2023, she has introduced resources and supports that led to two new Chapters and more than tripled the number of volunteer-led presentations across Canada. Prior to DWDC, Sara worked as a teacher in France, inflight leadership at WestJet, and community engagement at Hope Air. Fun Fact: Outside of work, you may find her painting watercolour or whittling wooden spoons.
