Director of PR and Communications
With professional experience exclusively in the charitable and not-for-profit sector, Katharine has worked at Plan International, Save the Children, CNIB, Sinai Health Foundation, and more. She is proud to now be the Director of PR and Communications at Dying With Dignity Canada, where she oversees all DWDC communications activities. With more than twenty years of communications experience, Katharine has led the communications initiatives for an NGO collaboration at the 2018 G7, interviewed physicians on the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic, and managed emergency communications from the Fort MacMurray wildfire evacuation.
A life-long admirer of good writing, Katharine is a graduate of Concordia University, where she won the William K. Everson Award for her writing.
Fun Fact: Katharine is a die-hard, life-long Blue Jays fan and takes deep satisfaction in having been at the Bautista bat flip ballgame back in 2015. She and her dog, Walter, hope the Jays bring Bark in the Park to Toronto soon.
