WHAT: All about Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) presentation
WHEN: Saturday, March 9, 2019, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. ET
WHERE: City of Ottawa Archives, 100 Tallwood Drive, Centrepointe, Room 115, Ground floor
This presentation takes a broad view of MAID and will be presented by Dying With Dignity Canada volunteers. It will include information about the historic Carter decision, the federal assisted dying law, the process of requesting MAID, the process associated with a MAID death, and information about current legal challenges and issues with respect to access to MAID.
The session will take place at the City of Ottawa Archives' (James Bartleman Centre) main floor meeting room (to your right as you enter the building). The event is located at 100 Tallwood Drive, around the corner from Woodroffe Avenue, south of Baseline. On arrival, please sign in at the Security Desk.
Although there is some limited parking at the back of the building, we encourage you to take public transportation (i.e. OC Transpo buses 94, 95, 156, 172, 174 and 178). Please note and respect that the City of Ottawa Archives is a scent- and smoke-free facility.
