Susan Beesley

On a sunny winter day, with her loving family by her side, Susan Jean Beesley peacefully passed. Compassionate and kind, resilient and intentional, our Mum was the sunshine. Surrounding us always with her warmth, accepting the things she could not change, and having the courage to change those which she could.

Susan was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s in April 2025 and chose MAiD in February 2026. She died peacefully and on her own terms. Many people do not have that power of choice.

Your gift in memory of Susan will fund legal challenges against governments and organizations unlawfully restricting access to end-of-life choice, countering harmful misinformation and building the tools we need to support people and families across Canada navigate end-of-life.
