Our work to support Canadians would be incomplete if we didn’t also support the health professionals who care for them. That’s why we at Dying With Dignity Canada provide a number of resources to inform and empower clinicians.
Examples of the types of supports we offer clinicians include:
- Linking them with up-to-date educational resources on the regulations surrounding medical assistance in dying (MAID) and other legal end-of-life choices
- Introducing them to other clinicians who are experienced assessors and providers of MAID
- In partnership with the Canadian Association of MAID Assessors and Providers (CAMAP), hosting monthly clinician-led, case-sharing webinars, where providers review challenging and complex anonymous cases and offer each other peer support
- Providing opportunities to inform DWDC’s work via membership on our Clinicians Advisory Council
If you are a healthcare professional looking for more information on the resources we provide clinicians, please contact Kelsey Goforth at email@example.com.
