Four experts in the fields of medicine, law, journalism and advocacy will discuss the changing landscape of end of life care in Canada. They will delve into issues such as palliative care, the right to die and physician assisted dying.
Speakers include:
- Shanaaz Gokool, CEO, Dying With Dignity Canada
- Jocelyn Downie, Professor of law and health ethics at Dalhousie University
- Sandra Martin, Globe and Mail writer and author of A Good Death
- Dr. Jeff Myers – Head of Palliative Care, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre
Each will speak individually, then join André Picard, The Globe and Mail’s public health reporter, for a discussion, followed by Q&A with the audience.
