Freedom of Information requests

Since 2016, Dying With Dignity Canada has been filing Freedom of Information requests to public bodies across the country to learn more about the impacts of forced transfers for assisted dying.

The documents we’ve obtained as a result of these requests have offered invaluable insights on the impacts of allowing publicly funded facilities to ban assisted dying on their premises. The findings we’ve gathered from these FOI requests have also helped us generate media stories on the clear impacts forced transfers have on patients, their loved ones, and their clinicians.

Check this space for more information, including links to the eye-opening documents we’ve obtained, in the months to come.
