Presented in partnership by the Greater Toronto Area Chapter of Dying With Dignity Canada and MAiDHouse

The process for navigating medical assistance in dying can be straightforward when you are informed about the process and its safeguards. At times, challenges may arise and you need to know how to navigate and overcome potential stumbling blocks.

Speaker:

Julie Campbell, MN, MBA, NP(PHC) is a Nurse Practitioner, experienced MAID provider and has been an integral member of the Provincial Care Coordination Service for MAID in Ontario.  Julie holds undergraduate degrees in Health Sciences, Business and Nursing and Master Degrees in Business and Nursing. Julie will share with us her experiences in supporting patients requesting MAID to navigate through barriers, connect with assessors and system resources and share stories of how patients have successfully explored their end of life choices and planned for a death that best aligned with their wishes. A Q& A session will follow the presentation.
