Myths & Facts: Setting the record straight on MAID
How do you know what’s myth or fact, especially when there are so many headlines about MAID in Canada? We were thrilled to be joined by bioethicist Eric Mathison, who unpacked topics commonly seen in the media and online – including Track 2 MAID, MAID and mental illness, vulnerable populations, and more.
Eric Mathison is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Toronto Scarborough site. He researches and writes about the ethics of assisted dying, both academically and through his newsletter, Value Judgments. Eric has also worked as a clinical ethicist in Canada and the United States, and as an ethics consultant for organizations in multiple countries.
