What is it like to have a loved one access their right to a peaceful death? It’s a delicate question, one that relatively few Canadians are equipped to answer.

Four Canadians who supported a loved one through a MAID journey shared their personal stories as part of a Nov. 27, 2017 webinar hosted by Dying With Dignity Canada.

These courageous storytellers, each joining us from a different part of the country, included:

– Liana Brittain, Prince Edward Island
– Jana Buhlmann, British Columbia
– John MacTavish, Ontario
– Cliff Campbell, British Columbia

Nino Sekopet, manager of DWDC’s Personal Support Program, also shared his insights on what it’s like to support individuals and families who are navigating the MAID process.

This webinar was presented as part of DWDC’s End in Mind Online Education Series.
