Forced Transfers

On May 16, Dying With Dignity Canada was joined by Daphne Gilbert, Dr. Ellen Wiebe, and Dr. Jyothi Jayaraman to explore forced transfers and its implications.

Speakers

• Daphne Gilbert is a professor. Her research interests lie primarily in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, with a particular emphasis on equality rights, reproductive rights, medical assistance in dying (MAID), and sexual violence.
• Dr. Ellen Wiebe is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Practice at the University of British Columbia. After 30 years of full-service family practice, she now restricts her practice to women’s health and assisted death.
• Dr. Jyothi Jayaraman is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Practice and an Associate Member, Department of Medicine, Division of Palliative Care at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C.
