Pursuant to its Orders of Reference from the Senate on Thursday, March 31, 2022, and Wednesday, May 4, 2022, and from the House of Commons on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, and Monday, May 2, 2022, the committee has studied mental illness as a sole underlying condition in the context of the statutory review of the provisions of the criminal code relating to medical assistance in dying and their application.
