Pashta MaryMoon is a practicing Death Midwife and Advance Care Planning consultant. She is also the executive director of the Canadian Integrative Network for Death Education and Alternatives (CINDEA) and the originator of the CAN-ADWEN Facebook group (acronym for CANadian Alternatives for Deathcare -- Wholistic, Ecological, and/or Natural).
She is the representative (health and personal care decisions) for four people — one of whom has severe multiple sclerosis and dementia. She herself has multiple complex chronic illnesses and conditions — most of them since childhood — and has been officially designated as 'disabled' for 30 years. She is a long-time supporter of medical assistance in dying and Dying With Dignity, and regularly comments on DWD articles.
