Nino Sekopet is a psychotherapist with a special interest in chronic pain and early relational and collective trauma. He holds a Master’s of Science Degree in Communicology, has extensive education in the field of psychotherapy and is a clinical member of the Ontario Society of Psychotherapists.
Before becoming DWD Canada's Client Support Program Manager on October 1, 2012, he was a faculty member of the Lionheart Institute for Transpersonal Psychotherapy, and was working with chronic pain and trauma victims in several clinics in the Greater Toronto Area.
"After a deep and intimate personal experience of loss, I was confronted with the profound question of what really constitutes a life. My belief is that we as a society will never come to a unanimous answer to that question because it is such a deep and intimate question for each and every one of us. Precisely because of that depth and intimacy, I believe we should have a choice to answer that question the way we feel is right for us."
