Liana Brittain

Liana is a retired teacher and published writer. Following her more than 20-year journey with chronic pain and illness, she worked as a chronic pain advocate and program facilitator.

Her husband, Paul Couvrette, was the first person on Prince Edward Island to request medical assistance in dying (MAID) as his end-of-life choice, while battling cancer. Liana continues his legacy of educating others about MAID with her writing, speaking and participation in the DAC.
