Create a Personal Giving Page
Follow the steps outlined on the Canada Helps page to create your own site. See the steps below for more information or sample messages.
- Register with Canada Helps
Our giving pages are run by Canada Helps. This is the same organization that supports our on-line donations and memberships.
To create your own web page, click here or on the icon at left and click on the "create a giving page" button.
Next click on the "register with Canada Helps" button to set up an account to manage your personal page.
- Create One Now
Once you are registered you will come to the "Welcome" screen. Simply click the "create one now" link to begin creating your personal page.
On the following page you'll want to select "other event / occasion" for type of page.
The title of your page could be Dying With Dignity or you could use your own title. Once you've created your page you can go back at any time and change any details by using the "manage" button from the "Welcome" screen you see once you login.
- Add a Personal Message

Everyone who comes to your page will see your message; the reason why you want them to donate.
We've written some samples that you can use or edit, or you can create your own. Click here or on the icon at left to see our suggestions.
Remeber to include a link to our website www.dyingwithdignity.ca so that people can readily get more information about DWD. - Link to Dying With Dignity
Press the "continue" button and you will be prompted to add a charity. Type in "Dying With Dignity" and then click on the "add" button link that will appear beside our name.
- Tell your Friends
You can now send an email promoting your personal webpage and enlisting your friends' support.
You can send more emails at any time by clicking on "donations" from the "Welcome" screen and then clicking on the "promote my giving page" button.
- Tell Us
While Canada Helps will update us weekly on any donations we recieve, we'd like to hear from you too.
Send us a link to your page at info@dyingwithdignity.ca so we can cheer you on!
