"During my 25-year career, I have seen many patients die. Some well, some not. I fully support palliative care but I also believe people should have the right to chose how and when they die, as long as stringent rules are in force. I also believe that if people have religious or moral reasons for not choosing physician-assisted dying, they should be supported in the best way possible.
Dying and loss is complicated and I would like to make things easier for the families and the individuals. I also want to help ensure services for legal assisted dying are accessible to those who need them."
