Dr. Roey Malleson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Practice at UBC and has worked variously as a Medical Health Officer, Medical Director of Planned Parenthood Association of BC, Division Head of Adolescent Medicine at BC Children’s Hospital, Director of Education at BC Women’s Hospital, an abortion provider and now a provider in medical assistance in dying.
Dr. Malleson attended the University of London where she obtained her medical degree and did postgraduate training in general practice and family planning. After coming to Canada, she joined the Vancouver Health Department and completed her Master’s degree in Health Care and Epidemiology. Her main interests include adolescent health, adolescent pregnancy prevention and reproductive health care.
Over the years I have been a strong advocate for reproductive choice and accessibility to appropriate services. This naturally leads me to advocate for choice at the end of life and I am passionate about and proud to have become a provider in medical assistance in dying.
