World Federation of Right to Die Societies

The World Federation, founded in 1980, consists of 38 right to die organizations from 22 countries. The Federation provides an international link for organizations working to secure or protect the rights of individuals to self-determination at the end of their lives.

CHOICE-IN-DYING is a group of dedicated persons whose mission is to strive for a change of legislation permitting a choice in dying for all Canadians in accordance with their wishes and beliefs.

Euthanasia Research & Guidance Organization (ERGO)

Founded in 1993, ERGO is a non-profit educational corporation that offers information and news about the entire right to die subject. Its president, Derek Humphry, founder of the Hemlock Society in the United States, is the author of the best-selling book, 'Final Exit'.

End-of-Life Choices

End-of-Life ChoicesUSA is a nationwide membership organization that promotes access to the full range of end-of-life choices, and offers guidance on advance healthcare directives, living wills, durable powers of attorney and other resources that help people ensure their end-of-life wishes are followed and implemented and that their pain is adequately treated.  Members have access to programs that help them examine the full range of their end-of-life options, including the option of hastening the dying process. Where the law is inadequate to provide for end-of-life choice, Hemlock works through the democratic process to change the law.

Compassion in Dying Federation

Compassion in Dying Federation (COMPASSION) is a national U.S. organization with affiliates in several states.  COMPASSION provides client services, legal advocacy and public education to improve pain and symptom management, increase patient empowerment and self-determination, and expand end-of-life choices to include aid-in-dying for terminally ill, mentally competent adults.

Death With Dignity National Centre (DDNC)

Death With Dignity National Centre (DDNC) successfully proposed, passed, defended and helped implement the Death With Dignity Law in the state of Oregon.  DDNC works with leaders in other states considering Oregon-style laws, as legislatures, medical communities and the public come to understand the law's benefits as well as the choice, control and comfort that the law affords.  DDNC works toward improved care and expanded options at life's end, with goals of comprehensive, effective comfort care for every dying person, and legal and humane aid-in-dying if suffering is unbearable and cannot be relieved.
